The Urban Development Administration is responsible for the long-term physical planning of the city and builds the sustainable city, based on a holistic view of urban development. The administration works purposefully to make Mölndal an attractive, sustainable, and successful city in the region.
The work on the new railway between Gothenburg and Borås is in full swing. The new railway will pass through Mölndal station and Landvetter Airport, making Mölndal a future regional hub for all train traffic in West Sweden.
For the city of Mölndal, the project involves extensive development work where urban development, infrastructure, and sustainable travel intersect.
We are now seeking a program manager who wants to drive this important work together with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a program manager, you will lead, coordinate, and drive the program to achieve its goals and create the benefits that the city of Mölndal seeks. You will lead the program management group and prepare proposals for the start of projects and assignments to be decided by the program steering group.
The program is largely a collaborative organization. You will therefore be responsible for good coordination between the program's projects, assignments, and initiatives, as well as between the program and the city's various departments. You will also ensure that the program collaborates with other ongoing projects and initiatives that affect the program's progress and deliverables.
Examples of projects and work within the program:
- Developing detailed plans for railway facilities
- Design and implementation of Mölndal city's own facilities related to railway expansion
- Developing expansion strategy
- Preparation and coordination of agreements within the program
- Planning and management of traffic and sustainable mobility during construction in collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration, Västtrafik, and other stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone with a university degree in a relevant field, such as physical planning, urban development, or infrastructure.
You have documented experience in leading large and complex projects or programs spanning several years, preferably within urban development or infrastructure. Experience from public sector or collaboration with municipalities, the Swedish Transport Administration, or other authorities is meritorious.
You have excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and have comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Planning and Building Act (PBL), Environmental Code (MB), and Traffic Ordinance.
To succeed in the role, you need to have good leadership skills, communicate clearly, and have the ability to build trust and create a respectful work climate.
You are analytical and can identify the core of complex issues and find solutions based on limited information. You are flexible in quickly adapting your organization and planning to changing circumstances, and you need to be cooperative while being independent in decision-making.
