At our management unit, you will work to care for individuals, safeguard rights, manage property, and contribute to the quality of life for those who need professional support in complex and sometimes difficult cases.
Your Mission
As a professional representative/guardian, you are the link between the principal and the society outside their living and care environment. You have overall responsibility for ensuring the principal's rights are protected and that their finances are managed safely and transparently. You work independently but with support from colleagues in a team and in close collaboration with the guardianship board, care staff, social services, and psychiatry.
Example Tasks:
• Represent the principal in contacts with authorities, healthcare, social services, and banks
• Manage the principal's finances, assets, and insurance
• Submit benefit applications, appeal decisions, and monitor rights according to current laws
• Collaborate in networks around the principal to ensure good care, support, and quality of life
• Report finances and management to the guardianship board
• Sale of properties
Your Experience
• We are seeking someone with a university degree of at least 180 credits in areas such as behavioral science, social work, disability studies, economics, law, or other equivalent education or experience.
• You need to be able to navigate legislation and be familiar with the Swedish welfare system.
We would prefer that you have:
• Experience working with people with mental health issues, disabilities, or addiction
• Knowledge in accounting, economics, and administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in staying updated in the field and participating in networks both within and outside the municipality
• Previous experience with guardianship or related work is meritorious.
