Your Mission
In the production engineering department, we work on the industrialization of new products and technologies. We also focus on continuously improving safety, quality, and efficiency in our daily operations. The team possesses a broad knowledge in various areas that complement each other.
The Tool Designer continuously works on standardization and method development to stay at the forefront of tool production. The responsibilities include general machine design, application of the Machinery Directive, calculations, simulations, and CAD development. You will be offered a varied job with a lot of personal responsibility. As a Production Engineer - Tool Designer, you will engage in dialogue with other production engineers, designers, and operators to ensure that tools and fixtures are designed for safe and efficient production.
Your tasks will include, among others:
* Designing tools and workshop equipment for products assembled within Epiroc.
* Improving and developing existing tools and auxiliary equipment in collaboration with other functions.
* Creating and participating in the development of working methods, routines, and procedures within the department and other departments.
* Specifying the reuse of existing fixtures in new development projects to the greatest extent possible.
* Analyzing the assemblability in new development projects and on existing products.
Location and Travel
This position is based in Ă–rebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.

Your Profile
To thrive in the role of Tool Designer at Epiroc, you should be driven, communicative, and have a desire for continuous improvement. You enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously and are not afraid of new challenges. Collaboration with others is important to you, while you are also self-driven and solution-oriented.
To be considered for the position, you should meet the following requirements:
* Experience with Creo or similar CAD tools for tool design.
* Technical education at the university or engineering level in mechanical engineering or other post-secondary education combined with relevant experience.
* Good collaboration skills, drive, structured and results-oriented, as well as the ability to engage and involve others.
* At least three years of relevant work experience.
* Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
* Good insight into and experience with production and production processes.
