Your Role
As a Production Engineer, you will work with support and development of the production process, focusing on production and development as well as oversight and improvement of test equipment.
Work tasks include:
* Industrializing new products
* Developing methods and workflows
* Preparing and supporting production of existing products
You are responsible for ensuring the production department has the right equipment and will develop production documentation such as test manuals and training plans. Continuous improvements and development of production apparatus are important to us, so you are expected to dedicate a significant portion of your time to identifying, initiating, and driving improvement projects. In new development projects, you will collaborate with other production engineers, product designers, and production personnel with the goal of developing test capabilities.
You will be part of a newly started group that you will help shape into a team of several people. The group will collaborate closely with other production engineers, and together with designers/development and production personnel for Saab Dynamics, a business area within Saab. The position is located in Linköping and offers work within robot, missile, and underwater products.
The group has broad knowledge across different complementary areas, and you will be the missing piece of the puzzle. You are offered varied work with significant personal responsibility and will work in close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organization.
Your Profile
You are driven by a passionate interest in production technology and in changing and improving things together with others. You have strong social skills, enjoy teamwork, and have the ability to engage people with diverse backgrounds in change management. You are persistent, both in selling an idea and in its implementation, always following through until all goals are met.
We prefer candidates who have:
* Relevant academic education focused on production technology or other post-secondary education combined with good experience
* At least three years of relevant work experience in manufacturing industry
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
* Experience with electronic testing
* Knowledge of test instruction development is meritorious
* Knowledge of cable and mechanical documentation review is meritorious
The position requires passing and being approved according to current security protection regulations. Positions with Saab security classification requirements may, where applicable, require specific citizenship.
