Your Role
As a production engineer with a focus on chemistry, you will work on production technical development and preparation within our manufacturing of explosives and pyrotechnic batches. The job involves preparing production documentation, work instructions, and recipes, as well as continuously improving processes, methods, and flows. You will also be responsible for training production staff and utilizing your expertise to develop testing and analysis methods, interpret results, and provide technical support to the operations department.
You will work closely with experienced production engineers, the development department, operations management, and production personnel. Since continuous improvement is a vital part of our operations, you are expected to spend a significant portion of your time identifying, initiating, and driving various improvement projects. You will also be involved in the development of new explosives and batches, where you will play a central role in establishing production processes and equipment.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in chemistry and production technology, as well as relevant experience in these areas. You have the ability to see the big picture and possess strong analytical skills. As the role involves close collaboration with others, good social and communication skills are essential.
We believe you have an education as a chemical engineer or have built equivalent competence through relevant experience. Experience in the explosives industry is an advantage.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as the work requires you to understand and absorb information in both languages, both written and spoken.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
