We are now seeking a Production Specialist for the South Västerbotten timber area, based in Umeå. As a Production Specialist with us, you can expect a workday that is both varied and developmental. No two days are alike – you will combine outdoor work in the forest with close collaboration with colleagues and contractors. In this role, you will have significant responsibilities, diverse tasks, and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
Your responsibilities include:
• Forest planning and preparation for logging: You will be responsible for planning and preparing logging operations, ensuring everything is ready for execution.
• Environmental and operational planning: You will be involved in planning measures to protect the environment and ensuring all work processes are efficient.
• Road and access management: You will ensure that roads and access routes are in good condition for timber transport, and take initiative for preparatory actions when necessary.
• Support to the Production Manager: You play a crucial role in the production team and are responsible for planning routes for several machinery teams.
We believe that you have forestry education with relevant experience for this role. To succeed, you should have strong forestry knowledge in forest estimation and harvesting techniques, including the assessment of bearing capacity. Good knowledge of environmental planning and digital forest planning is also required. In the role of Production Specialist, communication and decisiveness are key factors since you will work closely with our forest inspectors and have regular contact with both landowners and contractors. A valid driver's license is a prerequisite for the role.
