What does it take to lead one of Sweden's most challenging construction sites - right in the heart of a vibrant city? It requires technical sharpness, clear leadership, and the ability to foster collaboration under pressure, but also humility, good judgment, and the capacity to assert oneself in a project that impacts the city every day.
Production Manager for the Rosenlund Subproject, part of the West Link
Job Responsibilities
The West Link is one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects - a railway tunnel for commuter and regional trains through central Gothenburg. Within the Haga sub-phase, an underground station is being constructed with three exits, four tracks, a bicycle garage, and direct access to the School of Business, Economics and Law.
The Rosenlund subproject is one of the most complex phases of the entire project. Here, construction takes place underground in close proximity to residential areas, shops, and cultural environments - with high demands for dialogue, coordination, and disruption-free production. The projects affect many interests, and as the production manager, you are central to ensuring construction progress and managing relationships in an intense collaborative landscape. The project started in 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2029.
About the Role
You are responsible for ensuring that plans, budgets, and quality requirements are met - but also for creating clear communication between stakeholders, managing interfaces, and supporting construction managers in staying on course. You are expected to act confidently in a project where dialogue is as much a part of the workday as technical decisions.
You report to the subproject manager for Haga-Rosenlund and work closely with construction managers, project engineers, technical managers, and external contractors.
Examples of Job Duties
• Lead and follow up on production, resources, and work planning
• Coordinate and guide construction managers in a complex and challenging environment
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations
• Quality assure execution according to the Swedish Transport Administration's standards
• Manage interfaces with other subprojects and external parties
• Participate in risk assessment, status monitoring, and deviation management
• Establish effective dialogues with external stakeholders during production
Who Are You?
You are an experienced production manager accustomed to being at the center of complex processes where many interests converge. You possess technical knowledge and structure - but also the personal confidence needed to create clarity, manage diverse stakeholders, and simultaneously build trust.
You understand that a good collaborative climate does not arise spontaneously - and that your leadership is crucial for creating a calm working environment even under pressure.
Additional Information
Do you want a flexible workday with the option to work from home? In this role, you can work remotely up to two days a week.
