Here, we primarily employ correctional officers, but also healthcare professionals, teachers, administrators, production leaders, and other important professional groups. The clients at the prisons are engaged in various activities, including education, treatment programs, workshop work, as well as assembly and packaging tasks – all aimed at creating structure, meaning, and conditions for a better future. Österåker Prison is currently in an exciting expansion phase with new prison spaces and employment facilities set to be operational between 2025 and 2027. There are great opportunities to grow with the organization – both in terms of the number of employees and in new, exciting roles. The prison is located outside Åkersberga – perfect for those who appreciate avoiding rush hour traffic. The easiest way to get here is by car. Täby Prison is a small facility with a family-like environment and good commuting options. Both prisons offer staff parking. We prioritize a health-promoting work environment, and therefore, Österåker Prison has a staff gym. Additionally, there is a well-regarded staff restaurant where you can eat and socialize with your colleagues. We are now seeking production leaders for operations that include various work areas, including a laundry facility planned to be operational in 2026. As a production leader, you will supervise our clients in the prison's production activities. In your daily interactions with the inmates, your work will contribute to their learning and also to maintaining order and security. All activities are conducted without compromising safety. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who works well with others and exercises good judgment. You communicate clearly, see relationships in their proper perspective, differentiate between the personal and professional, and adapt your behavior to the situation. The role requires a good understanding of both security and how individuals acquire knowledge. You remain calm, stable, and controlled even in stressful situations and possess the physical ability to move freely if the situation demands it, for example, in the event of an alarm being triggered. Good collaboration skills are essential as you will be part of a team and also cooperate with other parts of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and external parties. It is important to us that you share the fundamental values of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service regarding a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the human capacity for development. You are aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally.
