Consensus is now seeking an experienced Production Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with an industrial client in the machinery manufacturing sector. The assignment offers a developing role in a modern production environment with a high degree of automation, where you will work with complex components and new technology.
**About the Assignment**
You will work closely with various individuals within the production engineering team and be responsible for the preparation of assigned components and products. The work includes NC programming in EdgeCam, simulation in Vericut, tool selection, development of instructions, and independent setup on 5-axis machining centers of the Heller type. A complete preparation and setup of a complex prototype component can take approximately 100 to 150 working hours.
The consulting assignment is long-term.
**Your Profile**
We are looking for a production engineer with solid experience in cutting machining and familiarity with working on advanced components in 5-axis multi-tasking machines. You have specific knowledge of EdgeCam for preparation and experience in simulating and testing NC programs in Vericut. If you lack experience with EdgeCam, training of about one week may be possible by agreement.
The work requires the ability to work independently with great precision while being a positive team player who collaborates well with other production engineers and operators. The role involves both independent work and periods of close collaboration to achieve effective results.
