About the Job
The Product Manager is part of a team alongside purchasers and a business area manager. Together, you will be responsible for the assortment and purchasing for a brand where you will have full responsibility for the assortment and supplier. Your main task will be to drive the product groups forward with a focus on growth and profitability. You will visit your suppliers in Sweden as well as in Europe and Asia. You report to the Business Area Manager.
As a Product Manager with us, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Assortment development of your product groups and brands.
- Management and development of suppliers, as well as conducting price negotiations and contract negotiations.
- Responsibility for pricing of the assortment.
- Development and implementation of annual activity plans and budgets.
- Analyzing market trends, competitors, and suppliers to best meet the future with the right assortment, quality, and price. Visiting trade fairs and conducting store visits.
- Providing service and support to customers, customer service, sales force, and Key Account Managers (KAM).
- Training and ensuring the right competency level among customer service, sales force, and KAM for your product groups.
- Responsibility for capital binding and inventory turnover rate on our stock, as well as ensuring a good service level for your product groups.
- Planning and ensuring successful product launches.
- Assisting the marketing department with the development of sales materials, campaign materials, and branding materials for the sales organization and our customers.
Your Background
- You have several years of experience in a similar role. Experience in the chemical engineering field is an advantage.
- You are accustomed to being responsible for budgets and financial events within your business area.
- You have a keen eye on the external environment to keep track of trends and developments.
- You likely have some form of relevant academic education.
- You are experienced in working with various business systems.
- You are proficient with computers and Office programs, especially Excel.
- You are unpretentious, innovative, and articulate.
- You are detail-oriented and understand the big picture.
- You are goal-oriented.
- You are independent and proactive, driving the projects you are responsible for.
