Technology and Project Department
The Technology and Project Department, led by the Technology and Project Manager, consists of five sub-departments: Mechanical Design, Electrical Design & Automation, Service & Supervision, Projects, and IT. The Technology and Project Department plays a crucial role in project advancement and development and management of new products. The department comprises numerous roles and competencies that function as the company's central hub, collaborating closely with all other departments within Sund Birsta AB, its subsidiaries, and Danieli Group. The department is now looking to grow and is seeking one or more Product Managers.
Main Responsibilities
The Product Manager has overall responsibility for the assigned product or product line. They understand competition, customer needs, market requirements, and serve as the natural point of contact for product information. The Product Manager integrates results from work across all organizational positions to ensure that the assigned product meets expectations for cost, functionality, and quality.
The role includes, among other tasks:
• Manage and improve assigned products.
• Handle product deviations.
• Participate in product development according to the company's development goals.
• Contribute to the sales process.
• Assist with assembly, testing, and commissioning.
• Customer visits.
• Provide training for assigned products.
• Coordinate and instruct technical resources involved in design assignments and development projects.
• Review and approve technical documentation.
Within the scope of the assignment, the Product Manager must be able to work independently, take initiative in contacts with partners inside and outside the organization, and find a functional balance between quality, cost, and time requirements. Key personal attributes for success in the role include the ability to lead and work systematically, with strong communication and social skills.
We believe that, in addition to a genuine interest in technology, you have:
• A degree as a university engineer or equivalent relevant acquired experience, preferably in mechanics, technical design, or similar.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English languages.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Driver's license, category B.
Additional experience with PDM systems is considered meritorious.
