About this role
Do you want to be part of building the future data platform within one of Sweden's largest authorities? We are looking for a Product Manager who, with technical understanding and a holistic perspective, can lead the development of our Master Data product and help create a modern, data-driven organization.
Together, we can get Sweden to work. Would you like to be one of us?
Who are we
The AI and Data department has a central role in the Swedish Public Employment Service's digital transformation. The department is responsible for developing and managing solutions related to information sharing, data management, and artificial intelligence, aimed at strengthening the authority's data-driven practices. Our work covers areas such as analysis, master data, information exchange, and applied AI, contributing to improved decision support, streamlining operations, and enhancing the quality of the authority's services.
The department also drives efforts to develop technology and methods to counteract incorrect payments and welfare fraud, which is a crucial part of the Public Employment Service's mission to safeguard the legitimacy of welfare and ensure fair handling of taxpayer funds. The department consists of approximately 100 employees and consultants organized into two units and five sections.
The department is new and will start in January 2026.
In our Data Governance section, which is part of the department, we currently have about 15 employees. We are responsible for master data and its platform. We ingest data from several sources, such as the Swedish Tax Agency and the Swedish Companies Registration Office. Master data is then consumed by various systems and applications within the Public Employment Service, focusing on future AI solutions. We are on a journey towards data governance, and master data plays a vital role in our future data usage. We base our work on Scrum and are inspired by the SAFe framework.
