We are now seeking a Data Platform Product Owner – a central role in further developing, optimizing, and future-proofing Balder's data foundation. Our data platform is already a central part of Balder's digital ecosystem – and now we want to take the next step to enable even more real-time data, smarter integrations, and increased AI usage. About the Role As Data Platform Product Owner, you are responsible for further developing Balder's data platform – both technically and functionally. You combine understanding of technology and architecture with the ability to translate business needs into concrete solutions and priorities. You are the link between business, IT, and the development team, ensuring that the platform not only functions but creates real value for the entire organization. You will: • Own and develop the data platform's roadmap and backlog in close collaboration with business analysts, developers, and architects. • Ensure the platform is stable, scalable, and ready for future needs in AI, automation, and real-time analysis. • Translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions, and prioritize improvements and initiatives. • Coordinate work with internal resources and external providers to ensure efficient deliveries. • Drive improvement initiatives in data quality, pipelines, model structure, and tool modernization. • Contribute to establishing platform principles for data cataloging, lineage, and AI-readiness. In short – you ensure that our data platform continues to be an enabler for innovation, insight, and business development. Who Are You? You have experience working with modern data platforms and understand how data can be used as a strategic resource. You thrive at the intersection of technology and business and enjoy driving things forward – structured, pragmatic, and with clear delivery focus. We believe you have: • Experience working with data platforms, preferably in Azure environment. • Good understanding of data architecture, pipelines, modeling, and data accessibility. • Experience driving change initiatives in data – such as modernization, tool replacement, or migration. • Ability to work agile, lead prioritizations, and manage dependencies between teams. • Knowledge of technologies like dbt, Databricks, Spark, or event-driven solutions. It is meriting if you have experience with major system replacements, Data Governance, or MLOps. As a person, you are driven, communicative, and curious – you enjoy solving problems, collaborating with different competencies, and ensuring things get done.
