WORK TASKS
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production activities, with a strong focus on leading and developing the production teams within both the rolling mill and profile operations. Works in alignment with the established strategy to achieve defined production targets. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and occupational health and safety legislation across all production departments. Promotes the development of Lean methodologies and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in close collaboration with other departments.
Detailed Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
• Accountable for achieving the set financial and operational production goals, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Guides and supports reporting managers in developing effective production teams, with a focus on building a flexible workforce capable of moving between departments as needed, while ensuring competence across all production staff.
• Leads and develops personnel to reach the company's zero-accident vision, including ensuring the registration and follow-up of near misses and risk observations.
• Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and offboarding of production staff.
• Actively contributes to the implementation of a coaching and feedback-oriented leadership culture, ensuring that all leaders and employees within production embrace the company's core values: trust, responsibility, respect, and passion.
• Works to improve productivity by applying Lean principles, initiating improvement projects, and actively participating in the planning and implementation of production equipment automation.
• Collaborates closely with the Supply Chain organization to ensure customer deliveries while maintaining inventory at optimal levels.
• Owns the production processes and related documentation.
• Holds full responsibility for the physical and psychosocial work environment within the production area and among its employees.
• Actively participates in management team activities, performance follow-ups, and the steering group for new product introductions.
• Contributes to strategy development and budgeting, and ensures follow-up and compliance with established plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant ERP/business systems.
• Documented experience of successful leadership.
• Professional approach with high business integrity a role model with the confidence to stand firmly behind their convictions.
• Solution-oriented mindset without compromising safety or quality.
• Highly active and present leadership style.
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools, processes, and quality methodologies.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
