Synsam is now seeking a Product Owner who wants to help develop and manage our backend platform.
Do you want to drive Synsam's digital business forward from backend to customer experience? As a Product Owner with us, you'll have a central role in developing solutions that connect technology, data, and business. This is not just about managing a platform, but about developing the business from a backend perspective.
You'll become a key person in building stable, scalable, and sustainable systems that enable Synsam to grow, meet new customer needs, and create a more seamless customer journey.
About the Role
As a Product Owner, you'll work closely with Tech Lead, Solution Architect, and Portal PO to plan and prioritize the backlog. You'll translate business needs, customer insights, and regulatory requirements into clear and scalable solutions in backend and shared modules, ensuring stable integrations between different parts of Synsam's ecosystem.
The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility. You'll collaborate with everything from financing partners to CRM teams and business development, contributing to shaping Synsam's product offering and customer experience behind the scenes. You'll also have the opportunity to delve into data to find patterns, optimize processes, and strengthen customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
• Prioritize tasks based on business goals, customer value, regulatory requirements, and long-term stability.
• Synchronize roadmap and coordinate workflows with the team to create clarity and progress.
• Actively participate in sprint planning and other agile processes.
• Ensure API contracts, error handling, and internal interfaces are clear, stable, and consistent.
• Identify improvement areas through data analysis and contribute to an even better customer experience.
• Drive end-to-end initiatives with the customer in focus.
Who You Are
You are analytical, curious, and communicative, and enjoy being the link between business, technology, and customer. You like collaborating closely with development teams and architects to translate requirements into sustainable solutions, and you have a natural ability to see the big picture, understanding how backend decisions impact business and customer journey.
You have experience working in complex technical environments where stability, compliance, and efficiency are central. A background in systems science, computer engineering, economics, or similar is meritorious, but we value your practical experience and commitment to creating value just as much.
Experience and Profile
• Experience as Product Owner or similar role focusing on backend and integrations.
• Good understanding of API design, system integrations, and modular platforms.
• Experienced in working with agile, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to document and define requirements, API contracts, and measurable goals.
• Basic understanding of regulatory requirements, data protection, and compliance in backend solutions.
• Interest in working data-driven and transforming insights into customer journey improvements.
About the Position
You will report to William Boer, Head of Subscription Development. The position is based at our main office on S:t Eriksgatan in Kungsholmen, Stockholm.
