Process Leader in Balancing

About the Position As a Process Leader in Balancing, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and managing processes for operational work in the control room. In close collaboration with your colleagues at Svenska kraftnät and our counterparts in the Nordic countries, you will help drive the development of the Nordic balancing process. You will be the requirements setter for business projects, IT, and coordinator with other functions connected to the control room. The position further involves, among other things: • Close contact with operators in the national control room and electricity market actors • Analyses and investigations for developing new tools and processes in the control room • Continuous follow-up and improvement of operational processes to ensure requirements such as operational security As a Process Leader at Operations, you have significant development opportunities. You will broaden your expertise in power system balancing, market development, and process development while being able to influence your role. You will participate in projects, both Nordic and European. As a Process Leader at Svenska kraftnät, which is experiencing rapid growth and a changing work environment, you will manage several complex challenges. The work will involve primary responsibility for processes within HVDC link management in the Operations department. This will entail leading and coordinating operational work, driving investigations, and ensuring progress in development and contractual matters with adjacent Transmission System Operators (TSOs). The work involves extensive internal and external coordination. You will also contribute to developing the Nordic balancing process and Nordic cooperation related to mFRR EAM. This includes work to ensure connection to European platforms MARI and PICASSO can be implemented as planned. You will navigate between different stakeholders' needs, conduct incident follow-up and analyses, and drive work related to continuity and fallback management. As a process leader with us, you will play a key role in developing and improving our balancing processes. You will work closely with both internal and external actors, identify improvement areas, and lead initiatives that create value and efficiency. You will have: • Master's degree in a relevant field • At least 10 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in the energy sector with relevant knowledge of the energy system and electricity market function • Experience in process and/or project management • Comprehensive knowledge of balancing markets and balancing processes • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written Additional Merits: • Experience working with processes related to HVDC link operations • Relevant knowledge of mFRR energy activation market • Experience with continuity work and instruction development • Control room work experience Good to Know: • Position located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg • Up to 50% remote work possible • Travel up to once per month, primarily within the Nordic region • Application deadline: 2025-11-19 • Permanent employment • Benefits available (Contact information and additional organizational details omitted)
