The Department for Children and Families administers several different social insurance benefits, including parental benefits, pregnancy benefits, maintenance support, and housing allowance. The Legal Support operational area is responsible for the department's reassessment processes, court proceedings, and legal support closely related to case handling. We have a number of litigation lawyers in the Department for Children and Families located in Gothenburg and Sundsvall. We are in an exciting phase of development and need to expand our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking personal responsibility for their tasks. Legal Matters, Reviews, and Negotiations As a litigation lawyer, you will represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in social insurance cases in administrative courts and appeals courts. The work involves both written case handling and oral hearings in administrative courts. The role includes development work where you actively work to improve our practices and participate in legal quality follow-ups. If needed, you also contribute with other legal support within the department. In the role of litigation lawyer, you will handle confidential information which requires strict compliance with confidentiality standards. Therefore, it is crucial that you have a strong sense of security and confidentiality. This is a job for those who want to take responsibility. We are looking for someone who • holds a law degree • is a qualified clerk or has equivalent competence, for example, other court experience or experience with reassessment or appeal processes within an authority • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for high-quality results • has a systematic and meticulous working style • can understand and analyze complex issues • communicates clearly, succinctly, and structured • collaborates effectively to achieve shared goals. It is advantageous if you • have current experience with social insurance cases in administrative courts • have strong knowledge of administrative procedural law and social insurance law • possess knowledge relevant to the current department’s insurance area.
