About the Operation
Kiruna Malmförädling's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main process steps are sorting, enriching, and pelletizing. The department consists of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections for quality, technical and process development, material processes, and maintenance.
Your Role
We are now seeking a driven and responsible process engineer to join our team and support the growth journey for Pellet Plants 2 and 3 (KK2/KK3) in Kiruna. The Process Engineer is a key role in our operation, and in this position, you will be responsible for process technical development work within the section. Your work will focus on ensuring the operation reaches its production, energy, and quality goals both short and long-term through daily process technical support in the operational organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work on process and product development to strengthen the business in terms of quality, capacity, and results
- Initiate, lead, or participate in projects and investigations with a process technical focus
- Represent Pellet Plants 2 and 3 in process, energy, and quality matters, both internally and externally
- Collaborate with other team members and drive development work towards common goals
Your Profile:
- Post-secondary education in mineral technology, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and/or technical physics
- Previous experience in similar operations, industry, or production
- Knowledge of LKAB's ore beneficiation process is meritorious
- B driver's license
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
