About this role

Company Description In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme provides district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We deliver sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households, as well as heat, cooling, and steam to industrial clients. We also produce electricity at several of our facilities, which is typically sold on the Nord Pool market. We are actively working according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, our own heating production, and from our suppliers, with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. We take pride in the fact that our main product, district heating, plays such a key role in the energy transition and the new circular economy. About the Role Vattenfall Värme is now seeking an Operations Process Owner who wants to help influence tomorrow's climate-smart society. In this role, you will be part of the Maintenance & Technology unit, which supports heat and combined heat and power plants with technical expertise, investigations, and documentation for investment projects. With us, you’ll join a team passionate about contributing to future developments. As an Operations Process Owner, your main responsibilities will include: • Further develop the work on production optimization from a technical, environmental, and economic perspective, focusing primarily on operational coordination, workflows, and collaboration. • Create, develop, and manage a joint operational strategy for the production facilities. • Drive the work on "operational follow-ups," which is part of our effort to maximize the return on our assets through analysis and monitoring of operational and facility data. • Support operational teams in their daily production planning - regarding both strategic development efforts and requests for operational support. • Act as the internal product owner/system manager for our operations optimization tool Aurora – which includes translating needs from our facilities into development orders from the supplier, as well as ensuring that we gain maximum benefit from Aurora's features. • Drive the implementation of new production opportunities, such as in the electricity market, new fuels, commissioning, etc. Requirements We are looking for someone who: • Holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on energy or equivalent qualifications acquired in another way that we deem comparable. • Has knowledge of combined heat and power and its functionality. • Has experience or knowledge of control rooms and operational work. • Is computer literate. • Proficient in Swedish and English in both spoken and written form. • Holds a valid driver’s license (category B). It is advantageous if you have: • Knowledge of calculation software for optimization and simulation. • Experience in creating and developing workflows. • Knowledge in finance, such as cost calculation. Personal Attributes We seek someone with strong collaboration skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships easily. You are proactive and structured in your work approach with a clear focus on achieving set goals, driven by continuous improvement. We also see that you are meticulous while possessing the ability to see the bigger picture and discern which details are important in different situations. Additional Information What can we offer you? With us, you become part of a strong team with fantastic colleagues. The organization is engaged and motivated, facing several exciting challenges. We offer a varied work environment, modern leadership, and many points of contact. It is self-evident for us that balancing life as a whole is important, and we place great emphasis on helping you find a balance between work and leisure, offering attractive employee benefits.
