About the operation
Would you like to actively offer interest-creating activities to foster a sense of community and contribute to the well-being of individuals through a coaching approach? Then you are right for us. Karlslund School is a well-functioning F-9 school located in central Vallentuna, close to good transport links. The school has approximately 500 students and 80 staff members. The school manages all facilities in-house and has a kitchen. Our vision is to increase accessibility in learning and development for students, with a focus on learning environments and modern plans that are student-centered. You will arrive at a culture that encourages innovative thinking and where we gladly support you through your development projects with colleagues, always keeping the students in focus.
Job responsibilities
As a clear and trustworthy leader, you will work during school hours with presence and health-promoting tasks by supporting students and assisting the school's student health team. You will work systematically and structured with students' well-being. In this dynamic role, you will engage with students at both the individual and group levels, focusing on prevention and solution-oriented methods, such as conflict management. Additionally, you can set clear boundaries, show warmth, and are creative and flexible. You will guide students as needed and collaborate with the school's staff such as mentors and counselors and other community actors like outreach workers and social services. You will be present in break areas where students in grades 7-9 are located. As the school will become mobile-free from autumn 2026, you will be responsible for offering other meaningful activities that promote a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable school environment. You will also engage in the student council.
In the afternoons, you will work with the after-school program for grades 4-6. Here, you will contribute together with your closest colleague to a stimulating and enjoyable program based on students' needs and interests, and aligned with the curriculum. You will be part of the after-school staff team and will receive continuous training in the area of leisure pedagogy. You are an active person who takes responsibility to ensure that various aspects of the workday are completed, working to promote the entire school's operations and development.
Qualifications
• You are a trained leisure leader or equivalent.
• You are well-acquainted with applicable governing documents.
• You are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• It is advantageous if you have prior experience collaborating with different stakeholders focused on student health and well-being.
