About the School
Praktiska Gymnasium Nykvarn offers students a concept where theory is alternated with practical exercises both inside the school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: BA, EE, FT, FS, FR, IN, NB, VF, and NB programs. Currently, the school has approximately 270 students and around 30 employees.

Your Assignment
This is a permanent, full-time position starting by mutual agreement. You will teach and guide our students in Construction and Civil Engineering subjects alongside the current Construction teaching staff. We have vocational paths in house construction, painting, and ground/civil works, and we prefer candidates with in-depth knowledge of painting or ground/civil works. We see you as a crucial and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with students at the center and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to job-specific tasks, like other teachers at the school, you will have responsibilities such as being a mentor, coaching students socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasium. We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment using shared digital documents, calendars, and planners.
Your Profile
We are seeking a certified vocational teacher in Construction and Civil Engineering. We place great importance on personal qualities. If you lack teacher certification, you can still apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly develop a plan for the fastest path to certification. Job responsibilities include industry contacts, as a significant portion of student study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), so good communication with employers is advantageous.
