About this role
About HST Nordic
At HST Nordic, we engineer, procure, and construct energy and industrial projects with significant impact in Sweden and internationally. As part of a globally recognized industrial group, we deliver complete solutions in solar energy, battery storage systems, and green infrastructure that drive progress. We are now expanding our sales efforts for our battery storage system offerings and are seeking an ambitious intern who wants to grow with us.
Role Overview
This internship is designed as a learning and development program, under the supervision and guidance of our Business Development Manager. You will assist and support sales initiatives targeting energy users in the power generation, commercial, and industrial sectors. You will gain valuable insights into the battery storage system market, help with customer contact and quotation processes, and contribute to our CRM-driven sales pipeline. The internship is distinct from a regular employment role and does not replace a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities within battery storage systems in the power generation, commercial, and industrial segments across Sweden and the Nordics.
• Generate and qualify leads through outbound contacts (calls/emails) and contribute to the maintenance of CRM data.
• Collaborate with the sales and engineering team to develop quotes, presentations, and technical solutions.
• Utilize CRM and relevant sales tools to support lead tracking, record interactions, and contribute to sales pipeline development.
• Participate in internal sales meetings and, based on performance, attend site visits or industry events.
• Assist the Business Development Manager with tasks related to sales support, research, and outreach activities.
What We Expect from You
• You are currently studying or have recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Swedish is required; good knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Strong technical understanding of battery storage systems – including system components, grid integration, and storage applications.
• High motivation, self-driven, positive attitude, and willingness to learn quickly.
• Comfortable reaching out to potential customers, learning about technical products, and working in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while being an effective team player.
Development & Learning Opportunities
• Gain practical experience in a growing renewable energy company with exposure to sales, technical products, and market development.
• Mentorship and training from senior colleagues in sales and engineering – learn the entire sales and business development process within battery storage systems and green infrastructure.
• Work in a fast-paced and agile organization where your contributions are visible and make a difference.
• Opportunities for site visits, business trips, and participation in industry fairs for high-performing interns.
• The company has insurance through Fora that covers the internship period, providing you with extra security during your development.
• If you perform exceptionally during the internship, we will discuss the possibility of a permanent position at HST Nordic after the internship ends.
Important Information – Internship Conditions
• The internship is unpaid and focused on learning and development.
• It does not replace a regular employment position or tasks that typically belong to an employee.
• A written internship agreement will be established, including supervision, goals, and tasks.
