**Job Description** **Responsibilities** We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a position within the Network Security Group (NSS) at EECS/SCS. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in and interest in networking systems and privacy. The selected candidate will contribute to one of our ongoing project areas with the goal of creating an environment where the successful candidate can mature into an independent academic after the two-year postdoctoral period. In addition to leading their own research and participating in NSS projects, the selected candidate will also gain experience in student supervision and mentorship. The work will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Panos Papadimitratos. The NSS group designs and builds reliable network systems. Our research agenda covers a range of security and privacy issues. We have numerous projects, including European ones, and a large network of industrial and academic partners. Our activities are summarized here: https://nss.proj.kth.se/. **Qualifications** **Requirements** - A completed PhD or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD. This eligibility requirement must be met by the time the employment decision is made. - Well-documented scientific expertise in network security, data security, and/or privacy-enhancing technologies, as evidenced by several top publications as the main author. - Excellent command of written and spoken English, as it is required in daily work. - Ability to collaborate well with others in a group. - As a person, you are highly motivated and independent in your working style. **Meritorious** - No more than three years since obtaining a PhD or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD by the application deadline. - Teaching ability and documented experience in supervising student project work. - Previous research experience in security/privacy in AI/ML systems or secure positioning. - Awareness of diversity and equality issues, with a particular focus on gender equality.
