About this role

At the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering, education is conducted in the fields of computer engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, and sound production. Research at the department takes place at the research center Sensible Things that Communicate (www.miun.se/stc) and focuses on sensor-based systems and services for use within the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. **Job Responsibilities** We offer a postdoctoral position in machine learning and generative AI for industrial applications such as process optimization and predictive maintenance. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with national and international partners in both industry and academia. The work is of an experimental and theoretical nature and includes data collection, model development and verification, as well as solution generalization. **Qualifications** Candidates for the postdoctoral position must meet the eligibility requirements described at https://www.miun.se/medarbetare/styrdokument/ny-styrning-planering-och-uppfoljning/Personal/Anstalla-personal/?item=311447. To qualify for a postdoctoral position, you must hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree in a relevant research area. Your degree must not be older than 3 years from the application deadline; however, for example, sick leave and/or parental leave can be deducted from this three-year period. For this position, a doctoral degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is required, along with prior academic experience in machine learning. Active participation and collaboration within the research group are essential. Therefore, it is important that you are a responsible individual with a holistic view, can communicate fluently both orally and in writing in English, and are structured in your work approach. **Assessment Criteria** Previous experience, education, and work related to the position's area are important in the selection process for this role. **Personal Attributes** You should be able to independently plan and conduct research within the position's area, be responsible, and open to learning new things.
