Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management About the position We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Landscape Governance and Management (LGM) subject group for a project focused on neuro-inclusive outdoor play spaces. This postdoctoral position lies at the intersection of occupational science and landscape architecture, concentrating on how to create and develop accessible and inclusive play spaces for neurodiverse children, including those with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. The work will involve utilizing observations, interviews, and participatory methods, engaging groups such as children, caregivers, teachers, and municipal civil servants. The position also entails collaboration both internationally and with colleagues at the LAPF department and the LGM subject group. Your profile Required qualifications include: • A PhD, preferably in occupational science or landscape architecture. This position is intended for a junior researcher, primarily someone whose doctoral degree was completed no more than three years ago. • Experience in research focusing on children with special needs and inclusive play environments. • Practical experience working with children with special needs, preferably in occupational therapy. • Documented ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. Meritorious qualifications include: • Ability to communicate research to both academic and broader audiences. • Capability to conduct research independently as well as in collaborative and international contexts. About us The Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (LAPF) employs around 90 individuals engaged in research, education, and environmental monitoring related to the planning, design, management, and vegetation of landscapes in urban and rural settings, both in Sweden and internationally. The Landscape Governance and Management (LGM) subject group specifically focuses on how governance and management processes can enhance and maintain quality for various user groups.
