Hello! I am an older man with an acquired brain injury that has resulted in several disabilities, and therefore I have a significant need for assistance. However, my brain injury has not affected my cognitive abilities, so I am fully capable of making my own decisions. My assistants compensate for my disabilities as "hands and feet," even though my care needs are substantial. I require assistance around the clock for all daily activities, from personal care to household chores. I live with my wife in an accessible apartment in Hammarby Sjöstad. My interests include technology, sports, cooking, and crossword puzzles. I also enjoy day trips in the Stockholm area or the archipelago. You who are applying to work with me can be either male or female, preferably over 30 years old and with a driver's license. As a person, you should be flexible, easy-going, attentive, and have a lot of patience. Due to my speech difficulties, I need help communicating, so you must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Smokers are not welcome, and you cannot be allergic to pets, as a dog may be present in the home. Experience with transfer techniques (using lifts) and PEG is an advantage. Similarly, we expect you to understand the importance of personal integrity and have a respectful approach to working in someone else's home. You will receive an introduction to the job and get to know me and my routines before working independently. We are now looking for staff who can start immediately.
