About this role
Welcome to the French Riviera, or as it is officially named - The Sugar Club. With 126 sunbeds, 3 pools, 2 bars, and a fire relaxation area, it’s effortless for our guests to immerse themselves in a vibrant poolside atmosphere. We are now looking for you, our new Supervisor, who wants to work in the tropical climate that our pool club offers.
This will be much more than "just a job" for you; you will become part of Maryhill Estate, where we work as one house - one team. We deliver world-class experiences, lifelong memories, and a workplace to be truly proud of. We live our core values in everything we do. Being Passionate, Professional, Playful & Personal is what makes us unique and what drives our growth.
Your Role as Supervisor
As a Supervisor in our wonderful Pool Club, you represent the first point of contact and are the face of our establishment to our guests. You are an inspiring colleague and a natural leader within your team. As an essential part of our supervisory team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high level of service throughout the Pool Club, where we collectively work towards achieving our set goals.
What Will You Do?
As part of the Pool Club team, you will both welcome and take care of our guests visiting our Pool Club. The role includes creating a work plan and distributing tasks with the team for the day. You will actively lead your team during service and ensure that routines and tasks are followed. We describe our Pool Club as a wonderful oasis with a fine balance between a vibrant atmosphere and a place for relaxation and retreat. The Pool Club is a natural meeting place for socializing, where our food and drinks play a central role in the experience, rather than a classic spa visit.
You will spend parts of your workday out in the Pool Club, serving food and drinks and ensuring the guest experience by maintaining our established standards for both service and atmosphere. You will also handle front desk duties, which involve being the guest's first point of contact during check-in, assisting guests with practical information, and guiding them to the best possible experience with us. Front desk responsibilities also include being well-prepared for the day's arrivals and activities while proactively preparing for our various Pool Club Sessions, thanks to your curiosity about our upcoming guests.
In your role as Supervisor, you will lead and be responsible on-site during your shifts, with your immediate supervisor being the Pool Club Manager.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with experience in leadership within the hotel and restaurant industry. A significant plus would be if you have previously worked as a head waiter/restaurant manager. With your natural leadership abilities and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, you ensure that our guests are always prioritized. You also have:
• Strong communication skills and are fluent in Swedish and English.
• An eye for detail and always strive to exceed expectations.
• The ability to handle stressful situations with a smile.
• Knowledge of how to develop and drive a team towards set goals, including those related to employee satisfaction and financial key performance indicators.
More About the Position:
In our Pool Club, guests are offered relaxation, tranquility, and enjoyment, but also pulse, energy, food, and drinks. As a Supervisor with us, you are the one who makes our guests' day even better – whether it’s serving drinks and light meals, welcoming guests with a smile, or contributing to a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere by the pool.
