Would you like to help plan and execute logistics operations during a time of growth and increased geopolitical challenges? Welcome to the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) – a rapidly developing organization of crucial importance for Sweden's and NATO's joint defense. Since Sweden's entry into NATO, logistics has gained a more central role, and FMLOG is in a dynamic phase where we are building a new nationally cohesive logistics management, on par with the Defense Branch Staffs. We are strengthening support to NATO through host nation support, pre-positioning, and deployment of our own and allied units, while developing our national structure with regional Replacement Areas. Now we are seeking you who want to help build the logistics capability of the future. About the Unit: Planning Section J35/Midterm – Future Operations is responsible for operational planning within a time horizon of 3 to 12 months (T-3 to T-12). The work is conducted in close collaboration with the Operations Management, Defense Staff, and Defense Branch Staffs – both in national and international contexts. Planning Section J35 is part of the Implementation Division J3 within FMLOG's staff and is located in Gärdet, Stockholm. Here you will work in a committed team with strong cohesion, where care, respect, and professional pride permeate everyday life. Primary Responsibilities: As a Planning Officer, you will together with the section chief and other employees: • Support the FMLOG Commander with daily leadership of the unit. • Participate in planning, implementation, and follow-up of logistics operations. • Collaborate, coordinate, and engage in dialogues within the unit and with superior and adjacent management levels. • Represent Swedish Armed Forces Logistics in various working groups and forums. • Perform scheduled standby duty. • Undertake service trips, both nationally and internationally. For the right individual, there are good opportunities for further development within the unit. Qualifications: • Swedish Officer's Degree. • Professional Officer OR7 or OF2, or alternatively OR6 or OF1 with potential for next level. • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. • Class B driver's license. Meritorious: • Officer training with logistics focus or equivalent experience. • Experience of staff service. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Good knowledge of VIDAR. • Swedish Armed Forces/NATO/UN logistics training(s). • ISUS authorization. • SWECCIS authorization. • Swedish Armed Forces signal protection training.
