Your Role
As a planner/preparer, you will play a central role in our operations. Your daily tasks will involve planning and coordinating daily operational and maintenance efforts to ensure smooth functioning. You will be on-site to inspect work in advance to gain an understanding of the tasks involved. Afterward, you will plan for personnel and ensure necessary materials are available on time. It is also crucial to work safety-consciously and conduct risk analyses to minimize potential hazards. Together with a maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for documenting all maintenance efforts in our maintenance system, which is critical for tracking and improving our processes. Additionally, you will participate in certain project work. The role of planner/preparer is a varied and developmental position with significant responsibility, where you can influence and improve the mine's maintenance process through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
To thrive in this role, we seek someone who is responsible, self-driven, solution-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively. A key part of your work will involve coordinating and maintaining contact with external and internal suppliers and contractors. You will be the link ensuring all parties are informed and work progresses according to plan. You will work in a team of 24 day-shift electricians and electrical operations personnel. Additionally, you have:
- Complete high school diploma in electrical engineering (requirement)
- Manual transmission driver's license B (requirement)
- Experience working as an electrician (requirement)
- Experience as a planner/preparer or in another coordinating role is meritorious
- Experience in reading drawings and schematics is meritorious
