About this role

We are currently seeking an interim Planning Manager for Norrtälje Municipality. **About the Assignment** The assignment is full-time, starting in early January 2026. It will last for one year with the possibility of extension. Some remote work is possible, but at least 50% of the work must be performed on-site in Norrtälje. **Your Responsibilities** As the Planning Manager, you will be part of the management team at the Community Building Office, contributing to the development of the entire Norrtälje Municipality. The planning department currently consists of approximately 20 individuals working on detailed planning, strategic planning at the comprehensive and detailed levels, nature reserves, and LONA projects. The planning unit collaborates with land and development, streets and parks, property management, facility management, building permits, geodata, and environmental and health protection within the Community Building Office, which reports to both the municipal executive board and the building and environmental committee. You will be responsible for: - Overall responsibility for the department's operational planning, as well as resource and budget management. - Personnel and work environment responsibility, as well as collaboration with trade unions. - Ensuring the unit's delivery within operational areas in accordance with political directives. - Driving development work focused on simplifying work processes and improving processing times. **Your Qualifications** - At least 5 years of management experience, primarily in detailed and comprehensive planning. - Strong knowledge of relevant legislation such as PBL, MB, work environment, and labor law. - You are unpretentious, receptive, collaborative, and balanced. - You are solution- and results-oriented and passionate about community development and delivery. - Since the municipality works project-oriented, we expect you to have experience in driving and leading projects. - A good understanding of the overall community building process related to sustainable development. - Excellent communication skills and strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. **Meritorious** - Experience in leadership within a politically governed organization is advantageous. - Documented experience in driving change initiatives that challenge existing work methods. - A higher education degree in the field of community building. - We hope you have a strong commitment and knowledge of sustainable urban and rural development. **What We Offer You** As a consultant at Bemannia, you will receive: - Close contact with your consultant manager - Opportunities for more exciting assignments - Experience in educational workplaces where your skills make a difference - Secure employment conditions Read more about what it’s like to be a consultant with us here: Working as a Consultant through Bemannia **Application Process** Apply for the position by clicking on the apply button below.
