About this role
Part-time with the possibility of full-time for the right candidate. You will work in a kitchen where you bake Neapolitan pizzas at high temperatures and in a fast-paced environment, 480°C with a maximum baking time of 70 seconds. Not always at high speed, but quite often. :)
During weekdays, you will be the only one in the kitchen, managing not only the pizzas but also the à la carte kitchen with its 3-4 dishes, as well as appetizers and dish preparation, etc. The kitchen operates with established routines, shopping lists, set menus, etc., and is well-structured. The pizza ovens are specially designed Neapolitan electric ovens. On weekends, we always have 2 or 3 pizzaiolos/cooks working simultaneously, but during weekdays, we expect you to handle everything on your own. Sometimes the kitchen staff will assist in the service area, and occasionally the service staff will come into the kitchen to help.
You will have significant responsibility in this role, and we trust that you will be proactive wherever needed to ensure we maintain our excellent reputation. We have been in business for 27 years, so you are applying for a position at a well-established restaurant. Flexibility is a key word, and you MUST have experience in pizza baking to apply for this position. Salary according to the HRF Green National Agreement. We are affiliated with FORA, etc. The position is part-time with the possibility of full-time and runs until March, with a chance of extension. We are open every day until 21:00, so there will be some evening work and a lot of weekend work.
