The Cultural School is a unique meeting place for music and theater, visual arts and film, circus, and dance for children and young people up to 20 years old. We have age-divided groups in visual arts, circus, dance, film, photography, choir singing, theater, music, with multiple orchestras and ensembles every week. Children and young people can play an instrument at their regular school during the day or with us in the afternoon or evening. Together, we are about 50 pedagogues and administrative staff. We have a large operation with over 2,500 activities each week and collaborate with the municipality's primary schools and city districts. Our activities are characterized by committed educators working to broaden our target group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We at the Cultural School in Gävle are seeking a piano pedagogue who is passionate about guiding and inspiring children and young people in the world of music. Our goal is to offer meaningful activities for our students, and we're looking for someone who shares our vision. Come and help us make Gävle's musical life accessible to everyone!
As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to shape and inspire the next generation of musicians while actively contributing to creating an inclusive and positive meeting place for children and youth.
As a piano pedagogue, you will teach both in group and individual settings. Your focus will be on engaging and motivating students with piano as the primary instrument. Like us, you value diversity and inclusion and strive to reach children and youth from all parts of society.
The position includes activities during school holidays, and work may also occur in the evenings and on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a passionate and skilled piano pedagogue who is enthusiastic about teaching children from first grade onwards. To be suitable for this position, you need to have excellent piano skills and a genuine desire and ability to inspire your students. You will lead both group and individual lessons, and previous experience in music education and a university degree in pedagogy or music is meritorious.
As a person, you are empathetic and have an amazing ability to truly see your students. You build positive and trusting relationships, making your students feel safe and inspired by you. You encourage personal development and joy in learning. Your flexibility and adaptability allow you to meet each student's unique needs.
To offer engaging and well-structured lessons, you are skilled at planning and organizing, and you work efficiently to create a stimulating learning environment.
You must be able to provide a criminal record check for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
