Särnmark is one of Sweden's oldest personal assistance companies, founded by its current owners in the early 1990s. We work from a clear and explicit value base, and our primary drive is to create the best conditions for personalized personal assistance based on each individual's unique needs. Särnmark currently has over 3,500 employees, and our customers and staff are located throughout Sweden. Our main office is in Sundbyberg, but we also have offices in other parts of Sweden. We are now seeking personal assistants for our customers in the Gävle area. About the Personal Assistant Job As a personal assistant, your most important task is to help the customer live the life they want. To step in and assist where the customer can no longer do so. You are in the background and know when to step forward and when to step back. You do not take over but provide the necessary support. You assist and support the person both in daily life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the customer is. You should have common sense and personal maturity. We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, and quick to learn new tasks. You are a confident, positive, and caring person who enjoys motivating others. You take initiative, spread energy, and easily create a good atmosphere around you. You should be genuinely interested in working and making another person's daily life what they desire. Most importantly, you must have your heart in the right place. You must be able to master the Swedish language both verbally and in writing. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction with the customer and access to training about the role of a personal assistant. Work Tasks Your tasks depend on the customer's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, housework, cooking, to assisting the customer at work or during activities outside the home. Working hours vary from 24-hour shifts with waiting time, 12-hour active shifts day and night, to daytime-only work. About the Employment As a temporary worker, the employment form is payment per worked hour with an hourly wage. For some customers, there may be a fixed schedule, in which case the employment form will be a fixed-term contract. Working hours vary based on the customer's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays and weekends. Some positions require a driver's license and access to a car. Salary and other employment terms are according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna - Kommunal.
