What We Offer!
Working as a personal assistant means focusing on the child or youth's needs and wishes, providing support in daily life with a pedagogical and professional approach.
Based on the child or youth's disability, you will activate and support them, stimulate and motivate them to develop their own abilities. Together with the child, their family, and other personal assistants, you will work towards making the day meaningful and rich, which requires you to be able to structure and plan time together with the child. You should create security and participation by showing respect and care. Work tasks include care, support, and service, such as meals and activities. The role involves receiving delegation from licensed personnel. Another important task is documentation to ensure good quality and safe care.
We offer a PAN employment at 85%, for 6 months with potential for extension. Start as soon as possible by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend.

Who Are You?
In the role of personal assistant, you show respect for the individual with good treatment and understanding of others' needs and feelings. Since you work closely with people in need of our services, it is important that you are calm and confident. You can take responsibility for your tasks, are flexible and initiative-driven, and have a good ability to create good relationships and collaborate with others. Since delegation and documentation are part of the work tasks, you need good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and good computer skills.
Ideal candidates are trained nursing assistants, childcare workers, or have other education assessed as equivalent by the employer, and have knowledge of working with children and youth with disabilities. We prefer candidates with experience in care work and knowledge of intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities, though this is not a requirement. Meriting qualifications include education in autism spectrum and psychiatry. Experience with alternative and complementary communication (AAC), motivational interviewing (MI), TEACCH pedagogy, and low-arousal approach are also considered meriting.
The job requires a B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.

In the work, you may come into contact with both pet animals and tobacco smoke, as we perform work in individual home environments.
