Personal assistance is a service under LSS (Law on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to persons who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each customer is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the customer's needs. You will protect the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.
About the Position
The role of personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. The customer has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. The customer enjoys interests such as going to theater and concerts. She also has a summer cottage where she likes to spend time.
We are now seeking someone who matches the following:
• Wants to work with a 50-year-old woman located in Örebro
• Has good Swedish language skills
• Has a driver's license and access to own car
• Has good physical condition
• Can tolerate pet animals as dog and cat are present in the household
• Is a non-smoker
It is also meritorious if you:
• Have experience in personal assistance or equivalent work
• Have previous experience with mobility aids such as turners and lifts
• Share the customer's interests
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Work Hours, Employment Scope, and Salary:
We are seeking two personal assistants for the customer. Both positions have the employment form "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and are approximately 75% each. The positions involve work during day and evening, with work shifts placed on certain weekdays and every other weekend.
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other compensation per collective agreement.
Start Date
Immediately or by agreement.
Employment at Humana
A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that the applicant can present valid ID and any documents confirming the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
