About us Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We assist patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions and diseases. We also offer personal assistance. Our facility is located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik, Solna, which combines old barrack premises with new living quarters, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have an extensive research and education program and a well-developed team collaboration. We also have a clinic focused on MS in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Närsjukvård, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care departments, Basic Home Healthcare, and Uppsala Närakut. The role We are seeking a personal assistant for a 35-year-old man who is wheelchair-bound and has a spinal cord injury. As a personal assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting and assisting him with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, meal assistance, cleaning, and accompanying him to various activities. The client advocates for himself and lives with his partner and two children. He values his personal and private time highly, so as an assistant, you need to be able to be nearby while also stepping back to allow for private life. Working hours will be scheduled during the day as well as evening/night shifts with on-call duties at night. About you We are looking for someone who is structured, organized, loyal, and attentive. You also prioritize providing high-quality care and service. Through your commitment, professional approach, and communication skills, you will build good relationships with the client and your colleagues, making you a valuable team member for us. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have a well-developed sense of timing and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work. You should be able to communicate clearly and be unpretentious in prioritizing the client’s needs and space, as well as managing a family with everyday tasks. Experience with catheters or knowledge of Clean Intermittent Catheterization (RIC) is a plus. Background You are someone with a strong interest in working with people. This role requires previous experience as a personal assistant and/or in healthcare and social services. A requirement for this position is that you have a very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
