About the Position We are now seeking several personal assistants for a man in his 30s living in Rydebäck with his family. For him, community with family and friends is an integral part of everyday life and something that brings him both joy and energy. The client has ALS and uses an electric wheelchair. Having knowledge about ALS can help understand both the medical and practical aspects of the disease, so we encourage you to learn more about the diagnosis.
What we can offer you is a position of approximately 70% plus on-call hours. Your duties will include daily care, transfers, meals, and dressing/undressing. Work hours may vary as follows:
• 07:30 - 14:30
• 14:30 - 21:30
• 21:30 - 07:30 (on-call 7.7 hours)
About You As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of the client's life and contribute to his independence and well-being. Since the provision of assistance is based on communication between you and the client, it is necessary to have fluent Swedish language skills. We believe that the person applying for this position is proactive and solution-oriented. You are an empathetic person who can easily put yourself in other people's life situations, while being calm, self-assured, and socially perceptive. The important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may be decisive in the final selection.
Requirements:
• Healthcare experience
• Non-smoker
• Fluent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license and access to a car
• Experience with ALS
• Healthcare education or equivalent
Scope: Approximately 70% plus on-call hours
