We are now seeking a dedicated and attentive personal assistant for a wheelchair-bound man with both physical and cognitive disabilities. The role involves supporting him in daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene including showering and diaper changes, dressing and undressing, cleaning, and assisting with transfers between bed and wheelchair. An important aspect of the job also involves participating in recreational activities and social settings. Our client enjoys having things happening around him and requires a lot of stimulation and engagement. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is creative, positive, and enjoys coming up with fun activities in daily life. It is crucial that you are attentive, patient, and comfortable in your role, as well as experienced in working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors. You will need to work in a low-arousal manner, create calm in challenging situations, and have the ability to find solutions when needed. We prefer candidates who take initiative, are responsible, and enjoy working both independently and in a team. During daytime shifts, you will work alongside colleagues and a supervisor, while during night shifts, you will work independently. We offer a varied and meaningful job where no day is the same.
