About this role
About the Job
Are you looking for a meaningful, developing, and varied job? Do you want to make a difference in daily life as a personal assistant? We are seeking someone with experience in care and support services who wants to contribute their skills across various assignments.
As a personal assistant, you will provide daily life support to an assistance user with extensive needs. The work is diverse and based on close collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and employers, especially in assignments involving individuals with psychiatric diagnoses or autism. You play a crucial role in creating structure, security, and a functional everyday life tailored to the user's needs and daily condition.
Your tasks include personal care support, such as toilet visits, showering, and dressing/undressing. You will also handle transfers using various aids like lifts and turners, which requires technical familiarity with these devices. The work is based on a low-affective approach, and you need to be able to initiate activities and outings and contribute to creating routines that provide a meaningful and stimulating existence. Common tasks include cooking, cleaning, walking, and some gardening.
You will become part of an engaged team consisting of personal assistants, support pedagogues/coordinators, and unit managers. The role also includes documentation in the Treserva system and participation in developing routines and work methods.
Your primary placement will be with a specific assistance user, but you may be placed in other assignments when the operation requires it.
Work hours are scheduled according to 12-hour shifts from 12:30-12:30 (including sleeping on-call from 22:30-07:00)
Probationary employment of up to six months may be applied.
About You
We are seeking someone with previous experience in care interventions, including intimate hygiene support. You should be experienced in working with individuals requiring care and feel comfortable using various transfer aids. As communication and documentation are important parts of the job, good Swedish language skills are required, equivalent to approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1.
It is meritorious if you have experience with documentation in Treserva or similar documentation systems, and if you have care and support education or equivalent training. We also value experience working with individuals with dementia and in elderly care. Additionally, we appreciate training in transfer aids.
As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and have a strong focus on the user. You collaborate well with others, contribute to a good work environment, and can adapt to changing conditions. You are attentive, show care and respect when interacting with others, and have a comprehensive approach to your work.
