About the position We are now looking for personal assistants for one of our male clients who lives in Västerås. Our client is a 67-year-old man who, after a severe stroke over 10 years ago, requires assistance in his daily life. As a personal assistant, you will support the client in all aspects of daily living, such as manual transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and activities both in and outside the home. Important details regarding the client's daily life: • The client has aphasia and does not communicate verbally. He also experiences a very mild degree of epileptic irritation that occurs at most once a year. • The client loves to keep up with the news, enjoys sports and nature programs. He appreciates pleasant company and good food (seafood is at the top of his list). • Regular light exercise is important for his well-being. • His partner does not work outside the home and is one of the assistants. About you The role of personal assistant requires a strong ability to build good relationships. We are looking for a person who is: • Social, confident, easy-going, and curious. • Used to taking on significant responsibility. • Patient. • Preferably has a driver's license. • Has a good sense of humor and a knack for laughter. • Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Finnish and/or Portuguese is a bonus. • Flexible and willing to travel with our client. • Ideally has previous experience in the care profession. • Physically fit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and how you function in collaboration. Working hours and employment level: We are looking for a personal assistant for fixed shifts on a schedule of approximately 40-50% as well as hourly substitutes. The working hours are primarily scheduled between 08:00–21:00. Night shifts may occur upon request but are not scheduled. Travel with overnight stays may also occur.
