Personal assistance is a service provided under LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You uphold the client's autonomy and dignity, contributing to a smooth everyday life. This man lives with Parkinson's disease and dementia but fully appreciates life – exercise, music, fishing, walks, and being outdoors regardless of the weather are important parts of his daily routine. As an assistant, you will have the opportunity to combine care with companionship and enjoyable activities while becoming part of a dedicated team.
About the Position
The role of a personal assistant demands a high ability to create positive relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, committed, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. This man wants to be active in his daily life and would appreciate the support of a personal assistant who shares his interests in movement, nature, and social activities. The role means that you will be an important support in both practical and social aspects, helping to create a meaningful and secure everyday life, such as motivating and supporting an active lifestyle, even outdoors regardless of the weather.
We are now looking for you who match the following criteria:
• Want to work with a man in his 60s living just outside Växjö
• Hold a valid driver's license (B) and have access to a personal vehicle
• Can accompany and participate in activities such as gym, training, walks, and fishing
• Can provide social companionship and contribute to finding daily activities
• Do not have a pet allergy as there are dogs and cats in the home
It is also advantageous if you:
• Have experience in similar work
• Share the client’s interests
Significant importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Work Hours, Employment Rate, and Salary:
The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts," and the position is at 60%. The job involves daytime work from 08:40 to 15:30 on varying weekdays and during the weekend from 10:00 to 16:50. The pay is according to agreement and other compensations are provided in accordance with collective agreements.

Immediately or as agreed upon.
Being Employed at Humana
