Who Will You Work With?
I am an active, playful 12-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and older brother in Kungälv.
I love excitement and am looking for an inventive assistant who still has a childlike spirit and wants to go on adventures with me. I love high-energy activities like driving remote-controlled cars, jumping on a trampoline, riding roller coasters at Liseberg, playing with trains, swimming in the sea and pool, and running in a framerunner or participating in various races in a special running wheelchair. I also enjoy calm and relaxing experiences like visiting Eldorado and all its sensory rooms. I also attend wheelchair dancing with my friends.
I have cerebral palsy, a severe intellectual disability, bilateral cochlear implants, and epilepsy. I have a feeding tube in my stomach for when I cannot eat by mouth. I have no verbal language but am very expressive and communicate through eyes and body language. Therefore, it's important that you are attentive and can read my needs and wishes. I am also practicing communication through picture support in a PODD book and eye-tracking computer.
I need help with everything in my daily life, such as dressing and undressing, assistance with food and medication, diaper changes, washing, and becoming independent in play. It's good if you have strong arms and can help me with lifts using my aids. I have, among other things, an NF-walker that I love running in. It's also a great advantage if you have experience working with children with disabilities.
As an assistant, you will help with everything that might arise in my daily life, such as dressing and personal care.
