Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to persons who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more fundamental needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You will safeguard the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to a smooth daily life.
About the Position
The role of personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.
We are now seeking someone who meets the following criteria:
• Wants to work with a 9-year-old boy located in Karlstad
• Has good Swedish language skills
• Can tolerate pets
• Is a non-smoker
• Can swim
• Has previous experience with autism
It is also meriting if you:
• Have experience with similar work
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Working Hours, Employment Scope, and Salary:
Current employment form is "For the duration of the assistance assignment" and the position is approximately 40%. The position involves working evenings on weekdays and daytime on weekends.
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, with additional compensation as per collective agreement.
Start Date
Immediately or by arrangement.
Employment at Humana
A prerequisite for starting employment with Humana is that you can present a valid ID and any documents confirming your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
According to legislation, as an employer, we must request a police record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18. Therefore, you will need to provide an extract from the police criminal record register before potential employment. Additional information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
