About this role
Azalea Care was founded with the intention of becoming one of the best assistance providers in the market right from the start. After just one year, our customers rated us 4.7 out of 5, which we are incredibly proud of!
We are a strong team with extensive experience in the industry, having built the company with all the knowledge we have gathered over the years. For us, it is essential that assistance is always based on how the customer wants it to be carried out. We also focus on our employees, as they are our most valuable asset. We offer one of the industry's most generous collective agreements and provide our personal assistants with the professional development needed to feel secure in their work. This is to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality assistance for our customers, by employees who take pride in their job and their employer. Our core values are safety, pride, and quality, and these guide our work every day. Would you like to become one of us?
Azalea Care is looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for one of our clients, a man in his 50s living in Mora.
The man is wheelchair-bound and communicates without any issues. As his personal assistant, you will assist him with transfers, dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, exercise, household chores, etc. Your workplace will be wherever the man is, whether at home or outside.
He is interested in sports, fishing, and cooking.
We are looking for someone who is engaged and positive. You should be attentive to the man's needs and wishes. It is important that you are self-assured, have good collaboration skills, and are meticulous in carrying out your tasks.
Working hours involve shifts with 5 hours of on-call time during the night.
The man has teenage children who often visit him, and there is a cat in the home.
Previous experience in care and support work is an advantage but not a requirement, as personal chemistry is the most important factor.
An introduction will take place as soon as we find the right candidate.
Working as a personal assistant can vary greatly depending on the customer's disability, as well as the fact that we are all different individuals, whether we have a disability or not. As a personal assistant, you compensate for what the customer cannot do independently, allowing them to live as others do to the greatest extent possible. Working in another person's home places high demands on you as an assistant, and there may also be a family to consider. It is important to have a sense of how the customer prefers things in different situations.
As a personal assistant with us, you will receive:
- A good working environment
- Proximity to the customer – assistant – operations manager
- Fresh work clothes
- Collective agreement
- Professional development
