We are seeking stable and caring assistants with good physical stamina and stress resistance for an essential role as a personal assistant. The work involves double staffing around the clock and therefore requires strong collaboration skills. You are a team player, flexible, and have a nurturing side.
You will assist a man in his 50s who lives in Enskede, Stockholm. He is living with ALS and has difficulties speaking, which means he needs help with most aspects of his daily life and requires assistance at all hours. He uses advanced communication aids and needs a confident, attentive, and empathetic assistant by his side, where you will be his extended arms and support him in everything from personal care to managing aids and creating a smooth and safe daily routine. You will be working in his home – a calm and pet-free environment.
The position starts as a part-time role, but there are good opportunities for regular shifts in the schedule if the collaboration goes well and you demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and a willingness to work.
What does the job entail?
• Daily support and care – Assisting with dressing and undressing, transfers (hoist), showering, toilet visits, and personal hygiene.
• Household tasks – Light cleaning, laundry, and other duties.
• Managing aids – Using cough machines, oxygen machines, suction devices, PEG, tube feeding, communication aids, and wound care.
• Communication support – You need to be able to read facial expressions and body language to understand the needs of the person you are assisting.
Who are we looking for?
• Previous experience in personal assistance or care – you are comfortable handling aids.
• Attentive, calm, and flexible – you see what needs to be done and adapt to the situation.
• Soft and reassuring demeanor – while being independent and proactive.
• Non-smoker and proficient in Swedish – you can speak, understand, and read Swedish without issues.
Scope & Work Arrangement:
• Start date: Immediately.
• Agreement: The position begins with an introductory shift and part-time employment. If everything works well, there is an opportunity for regular shifts in the schedule. In your application, you can indicate your availability for work.
• Work shifts: Double assistance around the clock – the work is always conducted with two assistants present to provide the best possible support.

Recruitment Process & Employment Terms
Recruitment Process: We contact candidates regularly for initial interviews. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may occur before the application deadline. Your application is processed by staff at ENKV assistans, along with the client and any relatives, guardians, or other relevant parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, a criminal record check is always required.

In employment where you work with a minor client, training on the child perspective is also included.
Employment Terms: To be employed with us, you must be at least 18 years old, be able to verify your identity, and show that you have the right to work in Sweden. Additionally, a valid BankID is required since both the employment contract and time reports are signed digitally.
