About Ågrenska Ågrenska is a unique, developing meeting place and a national competency center. We engage in various activities from a holistic perspective for children, young people, and adults with disabilities, their relatives, and professionals. As an assistant at Ågrenska, you will be covered by a collective agreement, entitled to compensation for wellness activities, and receive ongoing training in your role as a personal assistant. Read more at www.agrenska.se Who will you be working with? You will work with a cheerful, social, and active young man who lives in his own apartment. He loves movement and activities, as well as having his days planned. Together with his assistants, he goes on excursions, both on foot and by car. He trains, cycles, bakes, does woodworking, and listens to music, which is a central part of his life. You will support him in his home, at his workplace within a daily activities program, and during activities. He understands spoken language but does not speak himself; instead, he clearly indicates his wants through body language. You will work to support his self-determination and strengthen his self-esteem through educational methods. Assistants are a significant part of his daily life, and you will therefore work closely and collaboratively as a team. Double assistance is provided during the day, and at night you will work on-call (sleeping duty) in his home. This may involve round-the-clock shifts. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is empathetic and responsive, preferably with experience in low-arousal approaches. You are resourceful and easy to collaborate with. You exude security and are grounded in the belief of the unique and equal value of all individuals. You are flexible regarding work hours and content. You enjoy being active and physically engaged. You can work all hours of the day. Most importantly, you have a commitment and understand the significance of living as active and fulfilling a life as possible. Personal suitability is of utmost importance. We seek individuals with experience in wellness, recreational leadership, student assistance, or other motivational support work. Scope of Employment We are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute to support regular staff during vacations or illness. Working hours are variable; you will work days, evenings, nights with on-call duties, and weekends. Round-the-clock shifts occur. Work is located in Falkenberg.
