About the Position
I am a 61-year-old man living in Upplands-Väsby with my family. I have a neurological disease and am seeking a personal assistant who can help me in my daily life. I use a wheelchair, so you will need to be my extended hands and legs. Work tasks include everything from assistance with meals, hygiene, dressing/undressing, and household maintenance to enabling the assistance user to be a parent, spouse, work, pursue leisure interests, socialize with friends, or travel.
Your workplace will be wherever I am located. I travel abroad for rehabilitation each year, and assistants are expected to accompany me on these trips.
I attend rehabilitation training several times a week and will need you as physical support. You must be able to swim (attend water gymnastics with me) and cycle with me.
The position starts as an hourly employment as needed and during regular staff absences, with potential for a fixed schedule and full-time employment in the future. Work hours are distributed as follows:
• Work hours for this client are distributed across morning, day, and evening shifts, Monday-Sunday.
About You
Desired qualities include being proactive, empathetic, and responsible. It is important that you can work independently. Previous experience as an assistant and enjoyment/willingness to cook good meals is meritorious.
As a personal assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful daily life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being. We believe the ideal candidate is attentive, flexible, and cooperative. Personal chemistry between the applicant and the client may be decisive in the final selection.
Requirements:
• Ability to travel for work and be away for several days
• Ability to cycle
• Ability to swim and participate in water-based activities

• Have experience in healthcare and social services, especially personal assistance
