We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 40-year-old man who has extensive support needs in his daily life. He enjoys being around people, is very social, and is usually in a good mood. Due to his disabilities, including epilepsy, he requires assistance around the clock.
He participates in various activities throughout the week, including daily activities, warm water bathing, and wheelchair dancing. We are seeking someone who wants to help create a safe, stable, and meaningful daily life for him.
About the position
Working hours: Shifts may occur as the need exists 24 hours a day.
Activities: Daily activities, bathing in a warm water pool, wheelchair dancing, and other everyday activities.
Scope: The size of the position will be adjusted according to the needs of the service – both permanent positions and hourly substitutes may be relevant. The work includes general care, support in communication, assistance with activities, and being a calm and secure support in daily life.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
• Male, 30 years or older
• Responsible and diligent
• Has a good work ethic and is not afraid to pitch in when needed
• Flexible and able to adapt to changes in daily life
• Able to accept criticism constructively
• Swedish-speaking
• Preferably has experience in similar work, but this is not a requirement
