About the position: We are seeking a personal assistant who wants to work part-time, approximately 20 hours a week, with a 4-year-old boy in Fisksätra. The boy has a significant brain injury with extensive care needs. He also has epilepsy and spasticity.
We are also looking for someone who can work as a substitute when regular assistants are absent due to vacation or illness. As a substitute, you need to be able to work on short notice.
To ensure the boy feels comfortable with you, you need to be a positive, warm, and secure person with a lot of patience. Additionally, we would like you to be a creative individual who enjoys coming up with activities that promote his development.
The job responsibilities include the following:
• Meeting at home after preschool on weekdays
• Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals
• Engaging in activities
• Handling aids such as tube feeding and wheelchair assistance
The position involves varying working hours on weekdays and weekends:
• 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays
• 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM every other Friday (even weeks)
• 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM every other Sunday (even weeks)
About you: You are a responsible person with a strong sense of care for children with disabilities. You are calm, proactive, responsible, attentive, and reliable.
In this role, you need to understand that you will be working in a home with siblings and other family members to consider.
Requirements:
• Not allergic to pets, as there is a cat in the home
• Physically strong, as manual lifting is required
It is advantageous if you have:
• Education focused on children, or children with disabilities, or in healthcare and social care, as well as pedagogy
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Experience as a personal assistant or in healthcare and social care
Scope: 1 part-time position of approximately 80 hours per month. 2 substitutes as needed.
Start date: Immediately. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis and may be filled before the application deadline.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensation in accordance with collective agreements.
