About the Client
She is a young woman with strong will and personality. She can sometimes be stubborn and speak her mind, which means you as an assistant need to be both patient and respectful in your approach. At the same time, she appreciates when her daily life flows smoothly with routines, walks, and companionship.
She uses a wheelchair when outdoors but can walk short distances indoors. She may frequently experience mild vomiting, which means you need to be alert and quickly able to help by, for example, holding out a vomit bag.
About the Role
As a personal assistant, you are her secure support in daily life. You are there to provide help, encouragement, and structure, but also to ensure she is never left alone. You need to be someone who takes initiative and does not wait for someone else to say what needs to be done.
Your tasks may include:
• Providing practical daily support.
• Supporting personal care.
• Accompanying her on walks and activities.
• Always maintaining supervision and creating a sense of security around her.
